This salsa verde or green salsa is a basic in my home and the reason is that you can use it in several dishes. Its main ingredient is tomatillo. I use it for my pork in salsa verde, green enchiladas, tacos… there are several dishes that this salsa can be used on and that is why I consider it a basic. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Salsa Verde

Ingredients
- 3 lbs Tomatillos
- 7-8 jalapeños - depending on how spicy
- 3-4 garlic cloves
- 1 bunch of cilantro
Directions
- Step 1
- Peel and wash 3 pounds of tomatillos with 7-8 jalapenos, the number of jalapeños can vary depending on how spicy you would like your salsa so this amount can be changed. Put the tomatillos with the jalapeños to boil.
- Step 2
- When this has boiled, remove from the water and put into your blender along with 3-4 cloves of garlic and 1 bunch of cilantro. Blend well. When blended pour into a recipient and store in your refrigerator until needed.
